HOST TRIBE: ANU Intrepid Landcare
Come along to our first Intrepid Landcare event of 2017!!! We’ll be spending our weekend in the Upper Shoalhaven/Deua catchments, and you’ll get a taster of everything Intrepid Landcare is about!
We’ll kick things off with a visit to the Mulloon Institute, an amazing research institute exploring ways to improve agriculture and provide Australia with long-term water and food security. We’ll then head to our beautiful camping site, where we’ll hike and have a swim in the river.
After our night under the stars, we’ll be heading to a property in Araluen, where we’ll get to help out with harvesting organic veggies and learn more about sustainable agriculture. We then get to pay a visit to the Upper Deua Landcare Group, where we’ll check out the amazing work they’ve been doing and do some volunteer work on their site. Then, after an amazing weekend, it’s back to ANU.
Cost = Free (bring some money to chip in for petrol)
We can take a maximum of 25 people so get in quick!
