Here’s what others have had to say about the Intrepid Landcare Leadership Retreat experience…

“Reflecting on the weekend spent on a leadership retreat with the amazing Intrepid Landcare. I felt incredibly privileged to be accepted and to be surrounded by so many inspiring people looking to create change. We learnt how to make fire, make rope from native plants, heard from an incredible aboriginal leader, and had so many discussions about the environment and what we can do to save it. I spent most of my life turning a blind eye to ‘the greenies’ but the more time I spend in nature, and appreciate the incredible impact it has on me, my confidence, and my happiness, I realise I cannot just take from it. It’s time to give back! Here’s to 2018 and the start of making a difference.” – Brooke, South West Sydney Retreat

“Intrepid Landcare was one of most phenomenal weekends of my life. It was so refreshing to meet like-minded, inspiring and caring young people from my area that before the retreat I had no idea even existed. Megan and Naomi were so humble, enthusiastic, genuine and encompass all that it means to be a great leader. Their seemingly effortless ability to bring together 20 strangers and create long lasting bonds and friendships over the course of a single weekend is a massive asset to their powerful duo. Moreover, their capacity to engage and empower every one of us, connect us to relevant networks and create and believe in our ideas was truly invaluable. I can now proudly say I’m part of the tribe and cannot wait for what’s next!” – Jordan, Gippsland Retreat

“I am so darn grateful I did not back out of this trip because it has reignited my passion for the environment and has taught me so much. I went to this retreat feeling incredibly lost with the fears of being unworthy to participate but boy did Intrepid Landcare prove me wrong. Out I came feeling the most motivated and ambitious I have ever felt!! Words can’t describe how grateful I am to have been able to meet such a diverse but grounded group of people who have the same fears and goals I did. I’ve received so much reassurance, guidance and have gained such a large support system to fall back on that there’s no other way but to look up now. Thank you so much Megan, Peter and Tim!! You guys are really out here changing lives and the future of our environment for the better.” – Thanneal, Macedon Ranges Retreat

“Before this retreat I was not feeling the best about the environment and generally uninspired. The positive minded people gave me a sense that change is possible when you take the right steps and we are more powerful than we think!” – Participant, Western Sydney Retreat

“Did the Intrepid Landcare retreat meet your expectations? It exceeded expectations. I was tentative coming into the weekend, but was blown away by my experience. I understand why you do what you do, and why it’s important to facilitate it over a whole weekend rather than a day workshop. I truly feel energised and inspired by the weekend, and have reconnected with my “leader within”. I feel so grateful to have been involved and to have forged connections with a diverse range of people, sharing a common passion.” – Gabi, Central Coast Retreat
