5:30 pm - 7:30 pm 14/05/2019 Whites Hill Reserve, Brisbane Queensland
Imagine spotting a rare and threatened endangered species in the darkness of the night? You can experience hi-tec wildlife spotting by booking a $20 ticket to attend Bulimba Creek Catchment’s Stefan Hattingh’s, “The Owl Whisperer”, spotlighting event.
This event offers a rare opportunity to experience some of Brisbane’s local wildlife that most people usually don’t get to see with night vision and heat sensor cameras, and a guide who emanates passion for wildlife makes these events such an amazing experience. Sightings will also be viewed with iPads as well.
This event is strictly limited to a maximum of 15 people to limit noise and disturbance and make sure it’s a quality event for all attendees. Please note that the location, Whites Hill Reserve, has a lot of uneven surfaces so it has a degree of difficulty. The exact meeting spot will be provided upon confirmation.
To confirm your spot: book your ticket via Eventbrite. This event requires a $20 donation. Light refreshments will be served. Please wear insect repellent and closed in shoes suitable for walking (consider long pants and sleeves). Bring your torch and water bottle (let us know beforehand if you don’t have either of these).
Light drizzle won’t stop the event. We’ll let you know by email and on our Facebook page if the weather is too severe.
Please note that this event is not suitable for children 11 and under. Children 12 and over must be accompanied by an adult.
