We have a pretty epic line up of activities including connecting to the local environment, meeting local legends, and inspiring young speakers doing great stuff for the environment. Hiking, Indigenous cultural activities, Landcare activities, leadership and personal development training, and more!
This event is perfect for young adventurous souls who love the environment and are keen to do stuff that matters. Bookings are essential, as there are limited spots. So to avoid disappointment, please register your interest ASAP. Applications close NOVEMBER 17.
You must be able to attend the entire weekend. We can help facilitate transport if you are stuck for transport to the education centre.
Is this for me?
Are you between 16 and 35 years, have an interest or already involved in environmental conservation activities?
Keen to take that interest to the next level?
Curious about what is already happening across the Greater Sydney region, and love meeting new people? Then YES! This is totally for you!
What will happen?
Led by award-winning national Landcare leaders, and Intrepid Landcare co-founders Megan Rowlatt and Naomi Edwards, you will be exposed to a weekend of fun and adventure, exploring and meeting rad new people, hearing from inspiring legends who are doing great things for the environment, designing ways you can step up and create opportunities for you and your peers to work towards a more sustainable future, and you will be immersed in some of the best nature this region has to offer.
But I’m not a leader…
By being the change you want to see in the world totally puts you in the leadership category whether you realise it or not. There are many amazing young people around Australia leading on the change they want to see in their communities and for the world, whether it’s occasionally volunteering and sharing their messages in a blog or on social media all the way to leading regular teams of volunteers to carry out exciting conservation projects or creating projects or campaigns in their school or university for others to get involved in. We are here to help you discover and develop that further, or create something completely new. The possibilities are endless.
Interested? Yep! Sign me up.
To apply for a spot on this highly popular retreat, fill out the application form, a spot on the program will only be granted through an expression of interest process: Apply here.
We’d LOVE to have you along!
Here’s what others have had to say about the Intrepid Landcare Leadership Retreat experience…
“Intrepid Landcare was one of most phenomenal weekends of my life. It was so refreshing to meet likeminded, inspiring and caring young people from my area that before the retreat I had no idea even existed. Megan and Naomi were so humble, enthusiastic, genuine and encompass all that it means to be a great leader. Their seemingly effortless ability to bring together 20 strangers and create long lasting bonds and friendships over the course of a single weekend is a massive asset to their powerful duo. Moreover, their capacity to engage and empower every one of us, connect us to relevant networks and create and believe in our ideas was truly invaluable. I can now proudly say I’m part of the tribe and cannot wait for what’s next!” – Jordan, Gippsland Retreat
“The Intrepid Landcare Retreat was a complete mind shift. Not only did I get to connect with like minded and passionate people, it was really inspiring to hear the story of Intrepid Landcare and empowering to understand how I can can contribute.” – Mel, Western Sydney Retreat
“Before this retreat I was not feeling the best about the environment and generally uninspired. The positive minded people gave me a sense that change is possibly when you take the right steps and we are more powerful than we think!” – Participant, Western Sydney Retreat
