Intrepid Landcare is being launched in the Gippsland Region!
Applications now open | close April 23
Intrepid Landcare will kick-start in the Gippsland region in mid May with a FREE weekend retreat for passionate young people!
The retreat is open to anyone aged 18 years – 35 years, who is up for making a difference in the world and having some damn good fun doing it. The retreat will be held at Wilsons Promontory from Saturday 13th May – Sunday 14th May.
We have a pretty epic line up of activities including connecting to the local environment, meeting local legends, and inspiring young speakers doing great stuff for the environment. Hiking, Indigenous cultural activities, Landcare activities, leadership and personal development training, and more!
This event is perfect for young adventurous souls who love the environment and are keen to do stuff that matters. Bookings are essential, and there are limited spots. So to avoid disappointment, please register your interest ASAP. Applications close APRIL 23rd.
You must be able to attend the entire weekend. We can help facilitate car pooling if you are stuck for transport to the Prom.
Is this for me?
- Are you between 18 and 35 years, have an interest or already involved in environmental conservation activities?
- Keen to take that interest to the next level?
- Curious about what is happening already across the Gippsland region, and love meeting new people? Then YES! This is totally for you!
What will happen?
Led by award-winning National Young Landcare Ambassadors, Megan Rowlatt and Naomi Edwards and co-founders of Intrepid Landcare, you will be exposed to a weekend of fun and adventure, exploring and meeting new people, hearing from inspiring legends who who are doing great things for the environment, designing ways you can step up and create opportunities for you and your peers to work towards a more sustainable future, and will be immersed in some of the best nature this region has to offer.
But I’m not a leader…
By being the change you want to see in the world totally puts you in the leadership category whether you realise it or not. There are many amazing young people around Australia leading on the change they want to see in their communities and for the globe, whether it’s occasionally volunteering and sharing their messages in a blog or on social media all the way to leading regular teams of volunteers to carry out exciting conservation projects or creating projects or campaigns in their school or university for others to get involved in. We are here to help you discover and develop that further, or create something completely new. The possibilities are endless.
Interested? Yep! Sign me up.
To apply for a spot on this highly popular retreat, fill out the APPLICATION FORM HERE before April 23.
We’d LOVE to have you along!
