Join ANU Intrepid Landcare for a trip to the stunning Tidbinbilla Nature Reserve!
You’ll be assisting volunteers from the Friends of Tidbinbilla to clear the Tea tree away from the Grass Tree. Afterwards, you will have a lovely walk around the sanctuary where you will see platypus (no promise) and other Aussie native animals (for sure).
Meet at the Hancock Library carpark, near Hancock Library and the Research School of Chemistry on the ANU campus, at 9:00am to carpool to the event. You’ll be working onsite from 10:00am to 12:00pm and will return to campus around 1:00pm.
No previous experience or equipment is required! Gloves and tools will be provided, however, if you have your own gloves you may wish to bring these instead of borrowing some. As some of the weeds you’ll be removing can be prickly, please wear comfortable long pants and long sleeves with sturdy enclosed shoes. Please also bring a hat and plenty of water. We will provide free snacks, so let us know in your ticket response if you have any dietary requirements.🍿🍪🥗
If you have a car and are willing to drive others to the event, your help would be greatly appreciated! Please indicate this in your ticket response.
