Yarra Valley Parklands, Eltham, Victoria
Come along for a morning bush ecology walk through Yarra Valley Parklands in Eltham. You’ll be joined by ecologists, Beth & Lachie, from Nillumbik Shire Council. They will share insights into how our local bushland functions.
In particular, you’ll be;
- Keeping an eye out for birdlife, and with the help of Lachie, learning how to identify birds by calls
- Talking about the impact of feral deer and learning what deer damage and signs look like, led by Beth
You’ll meet at the corner of Yarra Braes & Reynolds Rd. Parking is available on the corner and along Yarra Braes Rd.
Please bring:
- A hat
- A friend
- Sunscreen
- Your bush walkin’ shoes
- Binoculars if you have some
- Water
Please note that there is a moderate hill on this walk down to and back from the Birrarung. Toilets are not available. Please register as numbers are capped. This event will be cancelled in the case of heavy rain or wind.
