Join us to co-create the future of Intrepid Landcare!

What’s possible for Intrepid Landcare when we come together as a community online?

Over the last weekend in May, Intrepid Landcare will hold an online retreat!

What is it all about?

The purpose of the online retreat is to come together to strengthen our community, explore new possibilities and co-create the future of Intrepid Landcare.

This weekend has been co-created for the love of what we do, on volunteer energy, with young people from diverse backgrounds, interests and passions! It is completely free to attend.

Who is this for?

Intrepid Landcare is a place where young people (late teens to 30-something) can come together, be part of and create the change they want to see in the world. The weekend is for:

  • Those who have been around a few years and are looking to step up their involvement or share their learnings and ideas
  • Those who might be new to Intrepid Landcare and bursting with ideas, energy and passion for what we are doing
  • Those who might be following Intrepid Landcare but are not yet involved and want to do stuff that matters
  • Those who might be doing stuff but have not connected with Intrepid Landcare (yet)

It doesn’t matter where you are on your journey. Anyone who has a passion for the environment and is interested in contributing to the work of Intrepid Landcare is welcome to join us over the weekend.

We acknowledge young people come with many different skills, brilliant ideas and infectious energy, so come as you are.

What you will get out of the weekend

  • Connection with people from diverse backgrounds who care about the environment and do stuff that matters
  • Be inspired by what young people are doing
  • Get skilled on how to host interactive sessions and design projects online (and in-person once we can gather again!)
  • Wisdom from our elders and those who’ve looked after the land for many years
  • A break from the seriousness! We’ll defs be having some fun and some good belly laughs along the way
  • Connection to nature (physically and digitally!)
  • Shared meals and recipes that rock! (everyone knows Landcare is where the good food is at)
  • And much more!

How much time will it take out of my weekend?

We will kick off with a Friday night for an online party that is going to be pretty darn awesome!

Saturday and Sunday will be a mix of group sessions and optional break out sessions where you get to have the conversations that matter most to you.

And the great news is, you show up to what you want and take a break when you want. We will be guided by self-organising principles which means you are in charge of what your weekend looks like for you!

We aim to wrap up completely by 5pm Sunday.

What we invite you to bring…

  • A can do attitude!
  • Your ideas, skills and gifts
  • An open mind
  • A sense of humour
  • An appetite for fun and adventure
  • A willingness to try new things and support other people to try new things

I’m keen! What now?
