Paddling, weeding & picnicking

Western Sydney Intrepid Landcare were out and about last month, paddling, weeding and picnicking along the mighty Parramatta River. Connecting up with an Intrepid-favourite group, Willow Warriors / Friends of Colo and supported by Parramatta Council, the “Westies” got into a few invasive weeds with removing Coral tree, Senna and Asparagus fern at Lake Parramatta Reserve. Finishing up with a paddle along the river, and a picnic to chill out after their hard work. Although, it wasn’t really hard work, it was awesome fun, right? Sure thing…

“If you think this sounded awesome you are right! Fortunately, we will be looking to run this event again in the warmer months, and maybe we will go for a swim!” said Emma MacKenzie from Western Intrepid Landcare.

“Our tribe has heaps of exciting events in the pipeline for the upcoming months”.
